arts award bronez: part D Arts Apprenticeship

I taught a group of people how to stage fight. This is an important aspect of the theater, if it is done well then it can be very effective.

the group was a mixture of girls and boys of different age groups. I really enjoyed it and the feed back was good everyone enjoyed it.

We also used stage fighting in our performance Oliver. all the people I taught have a better understanding of what stage fighting means and how to preform it smoothly.

I chose this activity to teach because we were doing a play and we had to use stage fighting but many people didn't know how, so I thought it would be fun to teach a group of kids the techniques involved in stage fighting

I chose Andy Warhol because I really like his style and his prints are amazing. I have found out a lot about him (check in my folder page 10)

He uses silk printing to achieve his beautifully colored prints

Andy Warhol was influenced by the media and drew mainly every day objects in his paintings he also drew many famous people
He is a well known pop artist of the 20th century

One of my favorite paintings he did is the Che Guevara because each square is made up of different colors making the painting have different moods

arts award bronze: part B Being an audience member

I went to see Oliver the musical at the West End with the school I really enjoyed it. They took us there to inspire us for our own school play as we are also doing Oliver. Seeing the play has made me understand how I should play my character and the importance of projecting your voice when singing and talking.
The thing that I enjoyed most about the play was the acting because all of the actors projected their voices and they used their actions to express emotion.

However I didn't like the dancing because it was too simple and not well choreographed. Overall I really enjoyed the performance and would recommend it.
The evidence that I went is in my folder (a ticket)

arts award bronze: part A exploring the arts

I made a sculpture of a fantasy creature, butterfly/leopard. I made my creature out of wire and tissue paper.

I made it in my art lessons from November to February 2009 to 2010
First I made sketches of my animal to get the shape and proportion of the animals.
Then we started making our sculpture with wire, this took a while, but I really enjoy the process.
After I covered it with colored tissue paper this brought my sculpture to life.
